I don't know why, but I held out from buying silicone pans until recently. Then I purchased a specialty pan and was hooked! The cake pan fits nicely in my GE Advantium oven so I don't need to heat up the entire kitchen. The baked goods come out extra moist and the clean-up is a breeze.

I like the brownie silicone pan so much, that I also bought two of these. Now I can EASILY make a layer cake (carrot cake & red velvet cakes are awesome in these pans) as other cakes, I'm sure. The cake comes out easily and I can't imagine why anyone would want to use the old cake pans to make a layer cake. These work so much better. I just love them!
